The price of a motorbike in Nha Trang or Cam Ranh starts from 130,000 dongs for a day and night. Example: 7:00am today to 7:00am the next day is counted as 1 day. If you are in Nha Trang city for a long time you can hire a bike for a week or a month and then the price will be lower.
If you rent a mean of transportation you have to leave some document as a deposit. It can be your passport or driving license.
Motorbike Rental Requirements in Vietnam
What do I need to rent a motorbike in VietNam? All you need is a passport (photo of it) —and that is only if you do not wish to leave a security deposit for the motorbike. However, you may present all the legal documents you need to actually rent and ride a motorbike while in Vietnam.
Obey the traffic laws of Vietnam, keep to the right side of the road. In the city, 40-50km/h is acceptable. Always wear helmet when you drive. Never drink and drive the motorbike.
Can I book a car for my partner, friend, colleague, etc? Of course. Just let the rental owner know the name.

Usually, motorbikes are fueled with regular E95 petrol with the price of 24,000 – 25,000 dongs ($1,3) per liter. Refueling stations are rather frequent and sometimes you even can see petrol in plastic bottles sold in the street. An ordinary bike kind of Yamaha Nuovo 4 can be filled with about 3 – 3.5 liter of petrol.
Road Tips for Riding in Nha Trang & Cam Ranh
If this is your first time riding in Vietnam, here are a few things to know before hitting the road:
- Traffic flows on the RIGHT side of the road
- Speed limit in city areas: 40–50 km/h
- Always wear your helmet — it is required by law and strictly
enforced, especially in Nha Trang city - Never drink and drive
- Fuel: regular E95 petrol costs around 25,000–30,000 VND/liter
(~$1). Gas stations are easy to find; an average scooter
tank holds about 3–3.5 liters - Note: bikes are delivered with an empty tank — please fuel
up before riding, or ask us to fill it for you at delivery - Payment for fuel and fines (if any) are the renter’s
responsibility

- The bike will be delivered to you with empty tank of petrol so that you need to fuel it before ready for you to ride. The fuel cost is not included in the price. Ask us for fill it up before delivery to you please.
- For deposit, it should be easy for you. You do not have to leave cash or any document. Just sent us a photo of your passport. It will be fine for deposit.

Cu Hin Mountain Pass — 25 min from Cam Duc
A stunning coastal road between Nha Trang and Cam Ranh with panoramic views of Cam Ranh Bay. One of the most photogenic stretches of road in Khanh Hoa province. Best in the morning before the heat picks up.
Cam Ranh to Vinh Hy Bay (Ninh Thuan Province) — ~50km
Continue south from Cam Ranh along the coastal highway toward Ninh Thuan province to reach Vinh Hy Bay — one of the most beautiful bays in central Vietnam. A perfect full-day ride with stunning cliffs, clear water, and very little traffic.
Bai Dai Beach to Binh Ba Island
Ride from Long Beach toward Cam Ranh port and catch a boat to Binh Ba Island — famous for fresh lobster and pristine beaches.
About 20 minutes by bike from Bai Dai to the pier.
Ba Li Stream (Cam Tan, Cam Lam) — 20 min from Cam Duc
A hidden natural swimming spot in the jungle about 20 minutes from Cam Duc town. Great for a half-day trip off the beaten path.
