Hon Ba mountain is one of many high mountains in Khanh Hoa province. Hon Ba Peak is located in Khanh Phu commune, Khanh Vinh district and Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province, about 60km from Nha Trang city by road. The name of the mountain is related to the legend of the Mother of Thien Y Ana as the Kinh people call it or Ms. Poh Nagar after the Cham people’s name.
The area of Hon Ba is also the reserve of Vietnam. It is home to almost 600 different types of plants and 255 species of animals, including many endangered species.
The way to Hon Ba is said to go through the primeval forest, but now there are only a few old trees left, the rest are many low-level mixed trees. Near the top, one side of the mountain is clear blue sky, the other side is cloudy.
Hon Ba is 1578 meters high above sea level. The temperature here ranges from 10-20 degrees Celsius and is covered with clouds all year round.
Anyone who comes to Hon Ba would compare this place as a fairyland with a transparent fountain, a winding stream flowing around, the pristine forests and a fresh and cool atmosphere.

DOCTOR YERSIN
Hon Ba was discovered by doctor Alexandre Yersin on September 22, 1863. Since 1915, he has built a research camp at an altitude of nearly 1,600m on the top of Hon Ba. Here, he conducted many experimental programs, growing and using medicinal plants.
In 1913, Dr. Alexandre Yersin, who discovered the plague bacteria that saved millions of lives, rode his horse from Suoi Dau to a mountainous region where no human footprint was ever seen. To him, it was a quiet land with fresh air and diverse ecosystems that was extremely suitable for living and working. His wooden house was built and many new plants were researched and tested during his stay. The place is peak of Hon Ba mountain, and Dr. Yersin is considered the first human to discover this land.
Also, doctor Yersin is famous in medicine in the world with the cure of plague and he is also the one who discovered Da Lat. He laid the foundation for Nha Trang Vaccine Institute.

Sliding on the cable (Zipline Canopy Tour) with different lines will help you glide between green trees like a bird moving from a branch to another branch gently.
